Ayla Kampeter Junior, has been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, which will take place next June at Lindenwood University, St. Charles. The Chamber of Commerce President Charla Smith presented Ayla with her registration fee. Girls State delegates are a diverse group of young women with a shared desire to learn and lead. ALA Girls State "citizens" come together from small towns, big cities, and rural areas to hold ALA Girls State elections, and their varied backgrounds set the stage for a week for spirited, experiential learning. Ashton Dyke will be presented with his check for Boys State by John Weiser, treasurer Vandalia Rotary Club. The American Legion Boys State will coincide with Girls State next June at Lindenwood University. Boys State is an 8 day leadership program where students learn the operation and fundamentals of government and is Missouri's premiere youth leadership development organization. Thank you to these organizations for continuing to support our students with these amazing opportunities.
