Bus 9 will be running a late route in the afternoons until further notice. Students can wait in the cafeteria.
Bus 6 will be running 10 minutes early for the morning route until further notice. Students need to be ready to get on the bus.
ALL STUDENTS – If you have lost or missed place your iPad, you will need to report it to the high school office ASAP so your iPad can be tracked before the battery goes dead.
Boys track grades 7-12 will start on Tuesday after school.
Coach Roth will hold a Baseball meeting on Friday, Feb. 26 at 3:45 in the health room. Anyone interested in playing baseball needs to attend and practices begin on Monday, March 1 at 6:30 pm.
The ACT will be given at Van-Far in the gym on Tuesday, March 2. Students taking the test please be in the gym by 7:50.
We will be having an NHS meeting at 7:30 in Mrs. Winders's room on Wednesday, March 3rd. Everyone must attend. Vo-tech students need to come and see me before this date.
Any student who received a packet for high school NHS induction needs to turn their completed application form into Mrs. Winders by the end of the day March 2nd. There will be no exceptions.
Spring sports parent player meeting will be Wed. March 3 at 6:30 pm.
Strike Out Autism T-shirts are available to order. The order form will be on the window in front of the HS office and payment will be due by March 24th to Miss Fowler. The elementary sign up is in the copy room and Mrs. Hoyt will collect the elementary. These t-shirts are black with white design on them. The price is $10.00 each. Anyone can order them.
There are Khoury League registration forms on the ledge at the office for anyone interested in playing softball/baseball this summer. Registration ends March 17 and forms may be returned to Ramsey Dickerman’s State Farm office or Vandalia City Hall.
Monday, March 1st we will have track practice for grades 7-12 at 8:00 a.m due to the fact there is student led conferences the rest of the day. Make sure all paperwork is taken care of by the 1st day of practice.
BLOOD DRIVE: STUCO is sponsoring the Van-Far/Red Cross blood drive scheduled for Wednesday, March 3, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in the high school cafeteria. Van-Far Student Council is signing up parents, teachers, friends, and other community members. For more information call 573-594-6442 and ask for Christian Rost or email crost@vf.k12.mo.us OR visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: VanFarHS to schedule an appointment. The Red Cross will give blood donors rapid Covid-19 antibody tests. If you have these antibodies, they can be used in treating patients fighting the virus. Having the antibodies will not affect your chance to donate blood. If you are 16-18 years old and want to donate blood, you will need a parent permission form located on the high school office ledge. Return these to Mrs. Dunn or Mr. Rost by this Friday.
