The Audrain County Health Department (ACHD) has established a memorial nursing scholarship in honor of Kay Dubbert in the amount of $2,500 to a resident of Audrain County who is pursuing either an RN or BSN degree.
Kay Dubbert dedicated 38 years of her nursing career to ACHD. She is remembered as a strong advocate for public health, and she made numerous positive impressions on employees, nursing students, and the residents of Audrain County. She truly took those around her under her wing, helping them achieve things in their career and personal life they may not have otherwise done. ACHD is establishing a scholarship to honor her memory and assist those in need to be able to achieve their goal of becoming a nurse. Applicants must submit an essay describing their intent and desire to pursue a degree in nursing. Submissions are due by March 15. One applicant will be selected each year.
